Utrecht, The Netherlands - Gilde Healthcare Services (‘Gilde’),  a dedicated healthcare services growth capital fund, today announces investments in occupational health firm VerzuimReductie BV and physiotherapy chain Fysius Back Clinics BV.

Occupational health services provider VerzuimReductie BV assists companies in the management of employee absenteeism. The company has reported 20% growth annually as their novel business model gains ground. “We have a unique concept with guaranteed success.” says founder Marcel Wenting. “We are planning to continue our growth path and expand our service offering.” Gilde Healthcare Services will support future growth with additional capital and its network. “This company fits our investment strategy very well. Lowering the costs of absenteeism while improving employability is increasingly important in the current market. ” says Jasper van Gorp, partner at Gilde.

Fysius BV is a Dutch physiotherapy provider specializing in back pain treatments. The company has 13 locations currently and has ambitious growth plans. Founder Arjan Tijhuis comments: “Our clients have, on average, been suffering from back pain for more than 10 years whereas our treatments have provided immediate relief to the patients.” Van Gorp explains: “These specialized clinics are well accepted by both primary care providers and patients and often provide more cost effective treatment than hospitals. ”
